75 days, 37 states, 3 countries, 1 rule:
That included both my financial account and what Buckminster Fuller called my cosmic energy account.
I took a road trip, across North America. Because of my travels, thousands of pounds of carbon were emitted into the air.
Carbon helps cause climate craziness around the Earth. So, as I moved from place to place, I needed to find ways to offset my emissions. I needed to help people save enough energy to make up for the energy I was using.
And I saw some interesting things and met some interesting people on the way.
What you will find here
Highlights of the blog include my last day before leaving, the end of an old mining town, the bleak legacy of hurricane Katrina, and a meditation on work and resistance. There's also the former dirtiest city in America, Texas oil, Midwest renewables, a farm restored to a forest, treehouses, national parks, vegetarian Mormons, a disappearing lake, and much more.
The Trimtabs section features people I met along the way who are working to make a difference in our society.
